A few degrees cooler and we’d have snow, but instead rain drips off the eaves and forlorn geese honk overhead in their endless migration from pond to pond. With candles lit and tree lights sparkling, leftover Christmas carries us through the winter gloom to New Year’s Day.

Your photos are so pretty. I love the colored lights on your tree. Remember in the 90s when it was trendy to have all one color/theme for your tree and the vertical ribbons & lights were in? I think you had an all purple tree one year. I like this look.
Yes, I like the eclectic look now too. I also had a blue & green tree one year, and I still have little pink glass bells from my first Christmas in Lancaster when I had rose carpeting and did a tree to match. 🙂
